Focus your mind

First and foremost, it’s important to have the right mindset before you begin any of these manifestation practices. In order to best prepare your mind, aim to:

Stay open

“Manifesting your dream home starts with immersing yourself in its energy and works best when you align your energy with trust,” says spiritual author, meditation teacher, and energy healer Phoebe Garnsworthy. She recommends staying open since “The universe often delivers in unexpected ways, and by staying open, you create space for the perfect home to find you.”

Be realistic

While it’s important to dream big, it is important to be realistic. Take in mind your budget, for example. Elizabeth Chang, energy healer and owner of Athena’s Garden’s hot tip for this process is that “The dream home you are visualizing is believably attainable financially; if it is 4x beyond your budget, it will be harder to visualize and therefore, actualize.” Thus, staying grounded and in tune with your reality is of the utmost importance. “When you align your dreams with your current reality and approach your life with genuine gratitude, the universe will rally to assist you in manifesting your dream home,” continues Elizabeth.

Express gratitude

“To accelerate your dream home manifestation, first pick the element of your ideal home that brings you the greatest emotional high, then reflect on your current life and find something that aligns with this specific dream home feature” suggests intuitive writing coach Dani Fankhauser. Practicing gratitude and “reminding yourself as often as possible how happy you are for this thing you already have,” helps set the stage for positive manifestation.

Find inspiration

Listen to “that quiet impulse of a thought or feeling, like a voice in your head,” suggests Darya Gorlova, owner of Dashatron Enterprises. In order to even be attuned to this, it’s important to have a clear mind. “Once you build up a habit of calm and clarity in your mind, it opens you up to receiving information about what you want,” continues Darya. Finding inspiration and following its impulses is a great sign of when to act as the energy will feel ‘right.”

Create clear intentions

“The best way to manifest a dream house is to set clear intentions on what you want,” says Ross Cessna, CEO of Spiritual Phoenix Studios. “Take time to really consider the things you value most in a property and what you are flexible on,” continues Ross. Having this flexibility “allows room in your intentions for unexpected blessings or bonuses to manifest,” Ross adds.

Visualize your dream home

One of the top ways to manifest your dream home is to visualize it. “Thoughts create an electrical charge and feelings create a magnetic charge,” says Katherine McBride, Reiki master and spiritual coach of Reiki Earth Mother

With this, “Emotions are not only the fuel driving manifestations to fruition; they also guide you to what you truly want and what is in alignment with your authentic self,” Angel Minuto, IFS-Informed coach of True Self Manifestation. “The two together create an electromagnetic charge, so aligned thoughts and feelings combined are very powerful and are important to your success in manifestation,” explains Katherine.

While visualization is a great and relatively easy way to manifest your dream home, try some of these tried and true tips to really guide this practice.

Set the mood

Similar to our mindset pointers, it’s important to hone in on your energetic foundation. When mastering your frequency, aim to be “rooted in love, trust, and possibility,” recommends Crystal Heinemann, meditation guide and intuitive mentor of The Psychic Soul. “Your energy field speaks louder than your words, and the universe responds to it without judgment, so stay heart-centered, expansive, and focused on what’s possible,” says Crystal.

Creating the perfect space for visualization may mean lighting a candle. Marlies Taylor, managing director of Sonder Beauty Studio, suggests “creating a serene atmosphere by lighting a luxurious Nette candle.” These candles in particular are “designed to evoke specific emotions and memories, connecting with your subconscious to deepen your visualization practice,” explains Marlies.

Speaking of smelly things, consider using smoke to help set the stage for your visualization. Laura Roberts, founder of Rock and Realm Crystals, recommends “using white sage or palo santo wood smoke around your house and body to clear stagnant energy or negative beliefs that could be holding you back.”

Focus and imagine

Just like in “Barbie,” we recommend you “close your eyes, now feel.” Elena Mirchovska of Casually Luxe says to “Clearly visualize your ideal home and express your personal preferences to the universe.” When visualizing, she also reminds us to “be specific and feel the emotions you want to experience in your dream home.”

“Your dream home doesn’t start when you find the listing — it starts the moment you live in it energetically,” says dream design coach AmyLee Westervelt. In order to live in it, “Imagine the feeling of your feet on the floors, see yourself making coffee in the kitchen, and picture where the light hits the walls in the morning,” suggests AmyLee.

“Imagine yourself walking in the front door of your dream house, picture room by room, and from the floors to the walls,” continues Leslie Garcia, co-owner of Gemz And Boardz. Ask yourself, “What colors do you see? What does your bedroom look like? What kind of furniture do you want in your space?” prompts Leslie.

Along with the specifics, focus “on how the home makes you feel whether that’s peaceful, expansive, or joyful” suggests Sterling Mire, manifestation expert of The AOM System. Go beyond just imagining the house itself and “envision the entire process flowing smoothly, with the perfect agents, buyers, or sellers coming together effortlessly,” recommends Sterling.

If you help with visualizing, try this practice that has brought integrative purpose coach Shelly Saunier of Shelly The Mystic’s clients to tears and “activated a visceral knowing of what’s coming.” First, “open the notes app on your phone and jot down every detail you can imagine,” instructs Shelly. “Then open ChatGPT and type: “Tell me about a day in the life living in my future dream home based on this description.” Paste your notes in — and prepare to be moved,” continues Shelly.

After you’ve finished visualizing, “Open your eyes and trust that it’s on the way,” says Lisa Mazurek of Warm Human. She also suggests adding  an affirmation (more on this later) by acting like you’ve already obtained your dream house by repeating “I’ve manifested the perfect home for me,” to further cement your wishes.

Incorporate a ritual

Consistently committing to a ritual can be incredibly powerful as it helps to focus your energy and intentions when manifesting your dream home. Keep reading for five different rituals to incorporate in your manifestation practice.

Giorgia Capoccia, CEO and founder of Zenpass, recommends a practice that’ll only take up a small fraction of your day. “Find a comfortable spot, sit down, and begin with five deep, grounding breaths. Then spend 5–10 minutes fully daydreaming — holding the keys, opening the door, feeling the sunlight through the windows, smelling the garden, tasting your morning tea,” recommends Giorgia.

“Return to the same spot, at the same time, for 21 days and repeat the practice. Say it out loud: ‘I am the owner of this home,’ and feel it with certainty — as if it’s already yours,” she continues. This practice is “even better if you have a photo of the house you can look at while you visualise,” Georgia adds.

Spiritual SEO copywriter Jadine Lydia comes to us with another ritual tactic. First, “ask the universe for what you want – get specific and write down the details that make your heart sing,” instructs Jadine. If you need help with this, refer to the “Focus and imagine” section above. “Once you have your crystal clear vision, amplify your dream home into reality by choosing a song that makes you feel as if you already own your new home. Play this song every morning, whilst closing your eyes and visualising the details of your dream home come to life,” continues Jadine.

For another ritual, mindset mentor Joe Hehn tells us to “Think about your favorite rituals in your current space: savoring that first sip of morning coffee at the kitchen island, woodworking in the garage, or curling up in your favorite chair with a novel.” “These aren’t just actions, they’re experiences — familiar, comforting, and emotional, and when it comes to manifesting your dream home, the secret is to feel as if you’re already there,” continues Joe. For the best results, “practice this just before falling asleep each night to allow the emotion and imagery to sink into your subconscious, where the real magic happens,” says Joe.

Ritual designer Kat Sticker suggests incorporating this powerful ritual into your daily routine. First, you need to venture outside to “Find a stick fallen from a tree to represent the foundation of your future home.”

Next, “speak your intention with words that express gratitude and indicate you already own the home, such as ‘thank you universe for providing me with this magnificent home.’” Lastly, Kat tells us to “place a flower, a rock, or something meaningful next to the stick as an offering to the universe, which serves as an energy exchange to symbolize your gratitude.” She also suggests “placing a real estate listing or image that captures the vision under the stick while you visualize yourself or your family living in the home.”

Our last ritual recommendation comes from Anastacia Sams, MA, LMFT, founder and CEO of HealingWorks. Before you begin the ritual, remember to prepare your mindset and “start by getting clear on what ‘home’ truly feels like to you,” says Anastacia. Next, she tells us to “take time to write down your top three non-negotiables — the things your home must have to align with your vision.” “Then, find small ways to bring that energy into your current space — set an intention with every room you step into, reminding yourself that your dream home is already yours,” continues Anastacia. Regardless of what ritual (or multiple) you end up incorporating, remember that “When you align your surroundings with your vision, you make room for what’s to come.”

Recite affirmations about your dream home

We’re already touched on it briefly, but reciting affirmations is a powerful tool for shifting your mindset and reinforcing your belief in the possibility of your dream home.

“To profoundly manifest your dream home, begin each day with the powerful affirmation, ‘I am safe and surrounded by peace, happiness, and fulfillment in my beautiful dream home, where I thrive and create wonderful memories every day,’” suggests life coach and reiki practitioner Jamie Karia, LCSW. “This affirmation reaffirms your goals and adjusts your mindset to attract opportunities,” explains Jamie. To enhance this practice, “consider dedicated scribing sessions where you write in detail about your ideal living space — its colors, textures, and the feelings they evoke; let your imagination flow as you describe the life you envision within those walls,” Jamie adds.

Another affirmation suggestion comes from Adele Orchard-Reid, owner of Magick and Me. Simply “Close your eyes and picture turning the key, stepping into your dream home, and feeling that deep exhale of this is it,” instructs Adele.

“See every detail, feel the joy spread through your whole body, then say: ‘My home so sweet, is finding me fast, With joy and love that’s built to last!’” says Adele. Trusting and believing in either of these affirmations is sure to give you “The confidence of knowing your dream home is on its way,” and help it come to fruition.

Create a vision board

Try making a vision board in your manifestation process. By using the law of attraction, this tool acts as a daily reminder of your goal, helps keep your energy aligned, and reinforces the reality of your dream home.

To make a future board or vision board, “Go beyond just picking pretty interiors — find images that show real moments, like a family cooking in your dream kitchen or celebrating the holidays in your ideal living room,” suggests author and life coach Sarah Centrella. “Choose exterior shots that match the style and vibe you love, plus outdoor spaces if they matter to you,” continues Sarah. “Adorn your board with images that stir your soul’s deepest longing — a place where loved ones will gather and cherished memories will be born,” adds Spell Garden’s Alana.

When making your collage, writer and yogini Leanne Matullo recommends “lighting a candle and meditating while cutting out any pictures, words, photographs, etc. that jumped out at you.”

Consider also incorporating a ritual and crystal: “each morning, hold a clear quartz crystal, close your eyes, and step into this home, to live within your vision before it materializes,” as Alana suggests.

Whether you do this practice by yourself, with a partner, or with your children like Leanne, a vision board aims to help you “gain a better awareness of the next best house and actually help you find it,” says Leanne. Remember too that, “This process isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about feeling yourself living there,” and by using this method, you too should manifest your dream home like Sarah’s clients have.

Write in a journal

Putting pen to paper and writing about your dream home can truly help bring about reality. This powerful tool allows you to focus your energy, release any doubts, and further affirm and realize the details of your perfect place. Since it can be difficult to know how to implement journaling, we’ve outlined three main ways to help you incorporate this documentation into your manifestation practice.

Outline your dream house in detail

“If you’re looking to manifest your dream home, start by creating a clear mental picture of the home you desire,” suggests Ajay Mishra, India’s number one law of attraction coach and founder of Big Manifestation. “Next, use journaling to script your ideal home in vivid detail — write about the design, colors, and surroundings,” instructs Ajay. Don’t forget to also “journal about the emotions and experiences you want to cultivate in this space, and visualize yourself living there in vivid detail,” adds psychiatrist and executive coach Anna Yusim.

By “aligning your psychological intent with your deepest values and desires and grounding your actions in purposeful intent and emotional clarity, you create a mental blueprint that guides your decisions and attracts opportunities to bring your vision to life,” says Anna. “By combining visualization and journaling, you align your energy with your dream home and invite the universe to turn your vision into reality,” notes Ajay.

Detail as you live in the future

When you’re journaling, think and “Write in the present tense as if you’re already living in that space,” instructs mental health coach Shawnti Refuge of Shawnti Refuge Journals. For example, “Describe the light pouring through your favorite window, the peaceful energy in your bedroom, or how grounded you feel making tea in your dream kitchen – the more specific you are, the faster your mind and actions start moving in that direction,” says Shawnti.

This practice is “a powerful way to bridge that inner clarity with outer action by getting crystal clear on what home feels like to you, aligning your energy with that vision, and strengthening your self-belief to know you’re capable of creating it,” says Megan Heddinger, founder of Wilde House Paper. In fact, it’s this type of journaling that “helps you embody the version of you who already lives that reality, so you can take grounded, aligned steps toward it,” notes Megan.

Try the 369 Method

Another way to use journaling in your manifestation practice is with the 369 Method. Steve at Luminate Press says this method “is a powerful way to imprint your dream home into your subconscious.”

First, “choose one clear affirmation such as ‘I am so grateful to be living in my peaceful, light-filled dream home,’ and write it down three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times before bed.” As you write, visualize specific details, and then repeat your intention throughout the day, anchoring it deep in your energy field and keeping you aligned with the version of you that already lives there,” instructs Steve.

Claim your dream home with crystals

Consider using crystals when manifesting to focus your intention-setting and amplify the energy of your desires.

“Crystals are more than beautiful décor; they can be visual reminders of the intention behind your dream home,” says Stacey Schuster, owner of Crystal River Gems. “Choose one that reflects the feeling you want to invite in — like the serene swirls of blue lace agate for peace, the grounding depth of black tourmaline for stability, or the soft green of aventurine for growth and renewal,” continues Stacey. “Another great crystal to help with manifesting is the clear quartz–what we call the master healer and master manifester,” adds Cindy Schmitz, owner of Crystal Rock Products

After you’ve chosen your crystal, there’s a handful of ways you can use them in your practice. Enchanting Earth recommends “holding the crystal in your hands close to your heart and visualizing your dream home for about 5-10 minutes, experiencing its energy.” You can also “wear [crystals] in jewelry or keep them in your space will help elevate your vibration and help you align with the frequency of your desires and once your intention is set, the crystal will amplify and manifest the exact home you’ve been dreaming of,” they add.

Cindy tells us to “ask [the crystal] to help you manifest your perfect home and visualize what you would like in your house or write it on a piece of paper and set the crystal on top of it.” She also reminds us to “cleanse your crystal before using and be specific about what you would like [in your dream home].”

Stacey recommends “placing [the crystal] where sunlight or daily movement brings it to life, like in a windowsill, bedside table, or entryway.” Then, “each time you see it, take a moment to imagine the space you’re creating—the textures, the light, the quiet joy of living in alignment with your vision.”

Whether you choose citrine with Cindy’s method or clear quartz with Stacey’s, “Let the crystal gently guide your focus as your dream home takes shape,” says Stacey.

Sip special tea

Another way to amplify your manifestations is by brewing and sipping on tea, but not just any tea – special manifestation tea.

Lily Chandra, founder and CEO of Brahmi Rituals, has used this method to manifest two dream homes. She recommends their “‘Magic Tea’ to get into the right vibe and set your intentions, ‘Self Love Tea’ to awaken your heart chakra and allow what you want into your life, and ‘Divine Awakening Tea’ to align with your destiny path to manifest your desires.” Their teas also come with a 5-minute guided meditation to help you manifest.

Another great manifestation tea option comes to us from Tiffany Cohen, founder of Spirit and Soul Studio. She suggests sipping on their ‘Manifestating Magic’ tea in combination with other manifestation practices such as “journaling about how the keys are already in your hand and what you did to celebrate the closing.” Whilst sipping on this tea, Tiffany also reminds us to “act as if your dream home is already yours so embody it now.”

Take actionable steps to get your dream house

While it’s great to believe and practice these manifestation methods, you also need to take actionable steps towards your dream home.

“Visualization is part of manifesting your dream home, however, that alone will not get you your dream home,” says Jamie London Wollberg, founder of Wake-In. “In order to fully embody your dreams into your material reality, you will want to act upon your desires,” continues Jamie.

In order to do this, “release any doubts or resistance about deserving this home, then take aligned action: create a savings plan, talk with a realtor, or explore neighborhoods that inspire you,” says Jasmine Rice, CPLC of Good Things Are Gonna Come. “When you consistently see, feel, and live your vision as if it’s already yours, you move beyond dreaming and bring your dream home into reality,” notes Jasmine.

Trust the process and believe

Ultimately none of these practices will truly help unless you trust in the process, the universe, and truly believe your dream home is on its way to you.

“Trust the process: visualization, paired with positive belief and aligned action, can help bring your dream home into reality,” says spiritual leader and master energy healer Vickie Miller. She also reminds us to “stay open to opportunities, take inspired steps toward your goal, and watch as the universe conspires to make it happen.”

With every manifestation practice, “Feel into the emotions of safety, joy, and gratitude and really feel them in your body as if it’s already happening for you,” says mindset coach Kenzie Groh. In fact, “Take it a step further and start acting as if it’s already yours: declutter your current space to make room for the new, save photos of your dream home, and even visit open houses to align your energy with what you desire,” adds Kenzie.
Once you have your mindset prepared, find and practice the manifestation methods that work for you, take actionable steps, and really believe, your dream home will be yours before you know it. Now, the only next question is how you’ll decorate.
