A ten-bedroom villa off Marbella, Spain, has just been put on the market with a €40 million ($44 million) price tag – one of the most expensive ever in the area.
The luxury mansion, which sits in Sierra Blanca, a town between the Mediterranean sea and the mountain range La Concha in the south side of Andalusia region, was designed by award-winning local Spanish architect Jesús del Valle Cardenete.
It won the Premios Maceal award for best international villa in 2017.
The four-story villa, which has an imposing neo-classical entrance with Greek-inspired Corinthian columns, spans 3,000 sq m over a 6,000 sq m private park.
It features 13 bathrooms, as well as two kitchens, dining room, lounge area with two open fireplaces, games room with bar, TV room, three guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and lift access to all floors.
Outside of the villa, the gardens feature a large infinity swimming pool, sunbathing areas, water features and lawns.
The basement comprises an eleven-seat cinema, wine cellar, a spa with a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, fitness room, massage room, bathroom and two showers, as well as a garage with parking spaces for eight cars.
The villa has been built by British developer Joe Ricotta, who is also handling the sale through its real estate agency, Marbella.
“Building the villa has been an amazing three year experience,” Ricotta said.
“I shared a vision with the architect to develop a property of outstanding beauty and elegance. However, it was important that the villa retained a relaxed family atmosphere. I am proud that we managed to create one of the most stunning homes in this sought after location in Marbella.”
The owner added that the price tag is “going to attract a high net worth individual from around the world”, who is “a connoisseur of luxury living.”
