$46.5 Million Mansion Backed By Billionaires Ian & Richard Livingstone Comes To Beverly Hills

London-based property entrepreneurs Ian and Richard Livingstone have backed a $46.5 million spec mansion in the exclusive enclave of Beverly Hills Post Office, zip code 90210. The Livingstones, whom Forbes estimates have a combined a net worth of $6.5 billion, partnered with Los Angeles investor Max J. Fowles-Pazdro to bring this 24,000 square foot European-style estate to market in the same neighborhood where the $129 million Pallazo Di Amore is for sale. It took over three years to build the eight-bedroom house adorned with clean lines and crisp corners and now it is the seventh priciest listing on the market for the neighborhood, exceeded by homes asking between $47 million and $165 million. 

“The estate was built with a European design intent which is visible throughout the house,” said co-listing agent Stephen Resnick of Hilton & Hyland. “There are numerous courtyards and outdoor moments that are paired with water features. The design palette is sophisticated, and incorporates layering in terms of stones and fabrics. The design details are intricate and the detailing in the brass and stones is unparalleled.”

Here is one of the all-marble rooms with a generous skylight that walks out to a motor court and gardens. 

The approach to the home begins with a tree-lined driveway that calls to mind the pebbled drives of castles built by royal families.

With white oak floors and walls, the climate-controlled wine cellar holds over 1,000 bottles of wine. There is also a wine storage unit in the kitchen for daily use.

Here the office and adjacent library shows a departure from the dark-hued mahogany tones you often find in these rooms. Light-colored wood and floor-to-ceiling windows combine to create a light, airy space.

The all-black kitchen fades into the background with smooth cabinetry and a lack of handles or door pulls. A gas fireplace that opens to this room and the adjoining room helps create a connection between the two spaces.

The dining room shows more of the wide-plank wooden floors that are found throughout the house (unless we’re talking about the marble floors in some of the rooms).
